Tom Gates: Absolutely Fantastic (at Some Things) is the fifth book in the Tom Gates series by Liz Pichon. In this installment, Tom is excited about winning a competition at school and about his band, DogZombies, getting better. However, as usual, things don’t go entirely to plan. Tom has to juggle annoying teachers, getting in trouble, and his family’s antics, especially from his sister Delia. With his unique doodles, lists, and laugh-out-loud observations, this book captures the ups and downs of Tom’s life as he tries to prove he’s absolutely fantastic… at least at some things!

This book continues the humor and fun format that fans of the series love, with lots of illustrations, comic-like elements, and Tom’s playful narration.
