The World’s Worst Children by David Walliams is a collection of ten short stories, each focusing on a hilariously dreadful child with over-the-top personalities and outrageous habits. Each child has a unique flaw or obsession that makes them terrible in one way or another. From boisterously bratty kids to those who are ridiculously lazy, greedy, or selfish, the characters showcase a mix of exaggerated behavior that’s both funny and, at times, a little grotesque.

Characters include children like Dribbling Drew, who can't stop drooling, and Grubby Gertrude, who despises cleanliness, creating chaotic situations around them. Walliams' storytelling is lively, filled with playful language, and combined with Tony Ross’s illustrations that perfectly capture each child’s ghastly personality. The book uses humor and exaggeration to highlight these "worst" children, both entertaining readers and serving as a lighthearted warning about the consequences of bad behavior.
