"Grandpa's Great Escape" by David Walliams is a humorous and heartwarming children’s novel that tells the story of Jack, a young boy, and his grandfather, a former WWII Spitfire pilot. As Grandpa grows older, he begins to experience memory loss and sometimes believes he’s still in the war. When he's sent to the "Twilight Towers" retirement home, Jack realizes that Grandpa’s new surroundings are more like a prison than a care home, complete with a cruel matron named Miss Swine.

The story follows Jack and his determination to help Grandpa "escape" from Twilight Towers and live freely. Full of Walliams' signature wit, the story combines laugh-out-loud moments with an exploration of family bonds, nostalgia, and the challenges of aging. This adventure tale is a mix of humor, action, and emotion, celebrating the powerful bond between a boy and his grandfather.
