Cards on the Table by Agatha Christie (Grade - C)
A brilliant classic mystery by Agatha Christie featuring Hercule Poirot. The story begins when the eccentric and wealthy Mr. Shaitana invites a group of guests to a dinner party, including four famous sleuths and four people he privately suspects of having committed murder in the past.
During a bridge game after dinner, Mr. Shaitana is murdered. The suspects are limited to the four bridge players, each of whom may have killed before and gotten away with it. With very little physical evidence available, Poirot must rely on psychology, observation, and an understanding of human nature to uncover the killer.
Widely regarded as one of Christie's most ingenious novels, Cards on the Table focuses less on clues and more on character analysis, making it a unique and fascinating entry in the Poirot series.
