The story follows the kind-hearted and eccentric Samuel Pickwick, founder of the Pickwick Club, and his companions as they travel across England observing society and encountering a series of humorous adventures, misunderstandings, eccentric characters, and social situations. Though largely comic, the novel also contains moments of warmth, satire, and social commentary.
