Vishwambhar Nath Sharma 'Kaushik' (1899-1945) was a renowned story writer in the Premchand tradition. Like Premchand, Kaushik's approach to literature was also idealistic realism. 'Kaushik' was born in 1899 in a city called Ambala in Punjab. Most of his stories are character-oriented. The author has taken the help of psychology in character building of the characters of these stories and due to being driven by reformist attitudes, he has turned them from demons to gods in the end. In Kaushik's stories, there has been a successful attempt to show the problems of family life and their solutions. The characters in his stories are living people of our real life who are inspired and inspired by social consciousness. His first story collection 'Rakshabandhan' was published in 1913. His stories express their basic sentiments with full poignancy. He died in 1945.
