Store Visit - Poddar School 2025

There is a distinct, joyful energy that fills the aisles when young minds step into a room full of books. Back in October 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Podar School to New Book World for an immersive store visit and a day packed with engaging activities.

As a community bookstore, our goal during these visits goes beyond just showing students shelves—we strive to build interactive experiences that spark curiosity, celebrate storytelling, and make reading feel like an exciting adventure.

Highlights of the Experience

To make the day both educational and memorable, our team organized a series of hands-on sessions tailored for the students:

• Guided Store Tour & Literary Discovery: Introducing students to different genres—from illustrated children's fiction and young adult classics to interactive stationery—explaining how books are curated and organized.

• Interactive Book Quizzes & Word Searches: Hosting lively group challenges and book-finding games that encouraged teamwork, active exploration, and healthy enthusiasm for reading.

• Creative Expression & Activity Section: Giving the students dedicated space to explore their artistic interests, solve literary puzzles, and share their favorite stories with their peers.

The Value of Experiential Learning

In a world where screens often dominate free time, giving students the chance to hold a physical book, browse through vibrant pages, and engage with literature in a dedicated space leaves a lasting impression. Seeing their excitement as they discovered new titles reminded us of why community hubs like ours matter.

Gratitude & Looking Ahead

Hosting the students and faculty from Podar School was a memorable highlight for our entire team. It reinforced our commitment to remaining an open, welcoming center for education, creativity, and local youth engagement in Jodhpur.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the teachers and administration of Podar School for bringing their students to visit us, and to the brilliant young readers whose energy lit up our store. We look forward to hosting many more school visits and inspiring the next generation of book lovers!
